Adult Courses...

At Sans Street, Maureen runs a series of free courses and activities for anyone over the age of 16 living in the Hendon and East End area.

 

These include: -

ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages

This course aims to develop vocabulary and improve

spoken and written english. It runs for 10 weeks,

on Mondays, 1.00 - 3.00 p.m.

 

Brush Up Your Maths

Fractions, percentages, mondey handling... this

course aims to provide pro-active sessions and

help where it is needed. It is possible to study for

- the support and friendliness of the tutor gave me valuable encouragement and help -

a basic skills certificate if you wish. It runs for

10 weeks, on Mondays, 1.30 - 3.00 p.m.

Computing For Beginners

This is a basic level course for anyone wishing to

learn how to use a computer or brush up on basic

leighton

computer skills. You can work to gain an AQA

qualification in Intoduction to Using a Computer.

This course runs 10 weeks, on Tuesdays,

9.00 - 11.00 a.m.

 

Introduction to the Internet & Email

Whether you are looking to learn how to browse

the internet, shop online, start using internet

banking, book your holidays or to simply keep in

touch with family and friends thiis course is for

you. It runs for 10 weeks, on Tuesdays,

9.30 - 11.30 a.m.

 

Brush Up Your English

Want to improve spelling, punctuation, writing

skills? This course aims to provide pro-active

sessions and help where it is needed.

It is possible to study for a basic skills certificate if

you wish. It runs for 10 weeks, on Tuesdays,

9.00 - 11.00 a.m.

Crafty Card - Card Making

Get introduced to different techniques used to

create professional looking greetings cards You

will be guided through designing and

personalising your own cards. It runs for 10

weeks, on Tuesdays, 12.30 - 2.30 p.m.

 

 

Advanced Computing -

For those who have good basic IT skills and

want to learn more about spreadsheet,

powerpoint, etc. The course is on Mondays,

9.30-11.30 a.m. and runs for 10 weeks.
